Milk Bar Sprinkle Layer Cake

 For the past month, I've been working hard in Christina Tosi's 'Creative Baking' course! For those that are unaware of this legend, she's an American chef, founder, owner and CEO of Milk Bar, the sister bakery to the Momofuku restaurant group with 17 locations in North America. 


Here is the the classic, sprinkle, vanilla, spongey cake...exactly the sort of cake that you might have had in school dinners in primary school...but better 🥰


This 6-inch cake is a delight! Here's a breakdown of this gem: 

❄️ Frosting: Vanilla and cream cheese 

🍰 Cake: Vanilla and sprinkles with a milk & vanilla cake soak 

🍪 Crumb: Found on top and in between the layers. These also contains sprinkles and are a nice, salty contrast to the soft texture of the cake sponge. 

🌈 Top: That's right...more sprinkles, crumbs and frosting to highlight the core elements of this flavour story :)
